Gaming at Casino Lisboa:
Gaming here is a highly entertaining experience for any gambling enthusiast, and the historical casino game room houses a wide variety of table games and slot machines. Within very close walking distance you will find Wynn Macau, Encore, Grand Lisboa, President Casino, Crystal Palace, Grand Emperor and more. The Lisboa Casino itself covers three of the hotels 12 stories and is in four major sections. You will find mainly table gaming here, however, there are roughly 100 slot machines in the Casino.
The atmosphere here, like many of the casinos in Macau, is darker and more relaxed. The table games take precedence and can be found spread out over a massive gaming area covering 3 floors dedicated to gambling. The hotel itself is 12 stories tall offering 927 rooms at an affordable price. There are actually four casinos that belong to this property, each with it’s own distinct name. Along with the main casino located in Hotel Lisboa, there is also the SJM Slots Hall, The Mona Lisa Casino and Crystal Palace Casino.
For poker players, we recommend you walk across the street to Wynn Macau Casino Resort there you can find the Wynn Poker Room, one of the few throughout Macau. You will also find the Starbucks here – we had a lot of coffee drinks watching the action at Wynn. Wynn having it’s own dedicated poker room, you’ll find the gaming action quite satisfying if you love Poker like we do. However, if you want casino action in the middle of the newer buildings but with the old Macau atmosphere, The Casino Lisboa is the place to be.
Casino Lisboa Hotel & Casino
Casino Lisboa Hotel & Casino is situated in the thick of the newer casinos in town, yet it was one of the first. It opened officially in 1970, however it is well known that it was taking bets well before that. While the casino itself clearly shows the time and era of its building with its older style of architecture, it has managed to keep up with the times by providing incredible luxury dining cuisine and casino gaming for its guests and visitors.
We do recommend the Grand Lisboa Casino & Hotel if you are interested in more modern surroundings. Both establishments are operated by STDM (Sociedade de Turismo e Diversões de Macau) and Grand Lisboa Casino & Hotel is located only a few steps away (you can even use the pedestrian walkway) from the original Lisboa Casino Hotel. On the other hand if you are a more money conscious gambler, stay here at the original Lisboa Casino Hotel to save some money and you will not be missing any of the action since you will automatically be in the thick of it.
This 12-story building had a 270-room extension constructed in 1991 giving it a total of 927 rooms in the original Lisboa Casino Hotel. In 2006, completion of the construction of the Grand Lisboa next to the older complex brought the total number of rooms between the two to 2362 rooms, though accommodations and amenities found in the original Lisboa Casino are much more economical for the more frugal gamer and vacationer.
A nights stay here at the Lisboa Casino Hotel ranges from $116.00 – $395.00
Dining here at the Casino Lisboa Hotel & Casino is a truly pleasant experience at any of the 6 different restaurants found around the hotel property. Each dining destination a unique experience offering a range of delicacies and varying styles of cuisine mostly consisting of Asian, Macanese, Portuguese and other regional dishes. You’ll find something to suit your tastes at any of the different dining venues here so long as your preference leans towards enjoying an Asian style of cuisine (we would hope so considering that you are in China after all). Here is a list of the six different restaurants around the hotel property.
